Two certificates of participation/completion are offered: Spanish Language I and Spanish Language II. Students must successfully complete 2.5 academic course units (five courses) with a cumulative average of 70% as follows:
Spanish Language I
SPAN 101, 102, 201A, 201B; SPAN 217 or 218
Spanish Language II
•SPAN 201A and 201B; or SPAN 210
•SPAN 227, 228, 301A, 301B
Notes:
- Students taking SPAN 201A and SPAN 201B will not be expected to take SPAN 210. Please contact the undergraduate advisor for more information.
- Students who have completed these courses may apply in writing to the undergraduate advisor of the Department of Spanish and Latin American Studies for the appropriate certificate. Certificates of participation/completion are issued by the department and do not appear on the undergraduate transcript or diploma.
- Certificates I and II are mutually exclusive. Only one certificate can be granted.
