Continuation in this academic plan requires a cumulative overall average of 60% and a cumulative average of 75% in Sociology and Legal Studies core and approved courses.
Eligibility for graduation in the Honours Legal Studies/Sociology, Criminology Specialization academic plan includes successful fulfillment of the following requirements:
- Appropriate Program-level requirements. See Bachelor of Arts Degree Requirements.
- Plan-level requirements:
- at least 15 academic course units (30 courses) in both Legal Studies and Sociology approved courses with a minimum cumulative average of 75%, including:
- LS 101, 102, 401, 402, 403
- SOC 101/101R, 202, 227, 280, 302, 321, 499A/B
- four of SOC 201, 222, 223, 226, 228, 229, 326, 327, 428
- one of SOC 322, 410
- one of SOC 401, 404, 405, 406, 407, 408, 409, 410, 414, 416, 418
- one additional SOC course
- four of LS 201/WS 206; LS 496; PACS 202, 329; PSYCH 330; SOC 325; SPCOM 430
- Foundation Courses: four of AFM 231 or COMM 231; ENGL 210I; ENVS 201; HIST 277, 329; PHIL 215/ARBUS 202; PHIL 327; PSCI 260; PSYCH 230; SOC 370
- two additional courses from the balance of the Foundation Courses above and the following approved courses: CLAS 210/HIST 210; ENVS 401; HIST 236; PACS 323; PLAN 471; PSCI 226; SDS 353R; SOC 249
Notes:
- Students in any Legal Studies academic plan are not eligible to take the Legal Studies Minor.
- Students in the Honours Legal Studies/Sociology, Criminology Specialization academic plan cannot combine it with other Honours or Arts and Business academic plans.
