Conrad Grebel University College

Conrad Grebel University College provides residential, teaching, research, and community education programs at the University of Waterloo. Two BA programs, Music, and Peace and Conflict Studies, a graduate program in Theological Studies, and a Diploma in Mennonite Studies are based at the College. Undergraduate courses in English, Interdisciplinary Arts, History, Philosophy, Religious Studies, and Sociology are also offered. Students from all faculties on campus take UW courses at the College, and UW students who live in the College residence are enrolled in all of the faculties of the University. The Conrad Grebel library collection specializes in Music, Peace and Conflict Studies, Mennonite Studies, Bible and Theology. The archives houses material related to Mennonites in Ontario.

Conrad Grebel also includes a residence for 174 students; 142 in residence and 32 in apartments. Students from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds share a lively environment. Every year a dormitory of people is transformed into a colourful community with purpose and character because of the common commitment to live responsibly and respectfully with others. Students get involved in intramural sports, Peace Society meetings, advocacy groups, coffee houses, service projects, worship gatherings, and music recitals. They meet guests from around the world at weekly community suppers. They develop leadership skills in the many campus organizations. Residence life offers students remarkable opportunities to build relationships, make connections, explore new interests, and forge lifelong friendships.
