Please note that there are two streams within all honours studio practice academic plans (outlined below) in the final year of study: Studio and Studio Practicum. The Studio stream is for students who wish to pursue a career as an artist. The Studio Practicum stream is for students who wish to pursue a career in the arts and in education. Selection of the stream is made at the end of 3B.
Students may combine the Honours Fine Arts - Studio Practice academic plan with Arts and Business.
Continuation in this academic plan requires a cumulative overall average of 60% and a cumulative Fine Arts average of 75%.
Eligibility for graduation in the Honours Fine Arts - Studio Practice (Arts and Business Co-op and Regular) academic plan includes successful fulfillment of the following requirements:
- Appropriate Program-level requirements. See Bachelor of Arts Degree Requirements.
- Fine Arts Plan-level requirements:
- at least eight academic course units (normally 16 courses) in Fine Arts with a minimum cumulative average of 75%, including:
- FINE 100, FINE 112, FINE 209, FINE 300, FINE 302, FINE 319
- FINE 101/VCULT 101
- Drawing: two of FINE 224, FINE 225, FINE 226, FINE 274
- two additional courses from the following: FINE 202, FINE 220, FINE 221, FINE 222, FINE 223, FINE 224, FINE 225, FINE 226, FINE 227, FINE 228, FINE 229, FINE 230, FINE 231, FINE 232, FINE 271, FINE 272, FINE 274
- FINE 301 or at least two different topics under FINE 304
- FINE 344 or at least two different topics under FINE 243 or FINE 343 (each 0.25 unit)
- if pursuing the Studio stream: FINE 472, FINE 473
- if pursuing the Studio Practicum stream:
- Arts and Business requirements.

Admission to the Honours Fine Arts - Studio Practice academic plans is by consent of the department at the end of the 1B term.

Admission to
200-level studio courses is by successful completion of
FINE 100 and by submission and approval of work done in
FINE 100 at the end of 1A term.

200-level studio courses by the end of their 2B term before proceeding to
FINE 300.
