Minors, Options, Joint Programs, and International Partnerships

A Physics Minor is available to students in programs within and outside the Faculty of Science.

Successful completion of the Physics Minor requires:

1. 5.0 units distributed as follows:
   
   • 1.5 PHYS units: PHYS 121, PHYS 122, PHYS 124
   • 1.5 PHYS units selected from: PHYS 234, PHYS 242, PHYS 249, PHYS 256, PHYS 263, PHYS 267, PHYS 334, PHYS 342, PHYS 358, PHYS 359, PHYS 363, PHYS 364, PHYS 365
   • 2.0 PHYS elective units
2. A minimum cumulative Physics average of 60%.

Notes

1. At least 1.5 PHYS lecture units must be 300-level or higher.
2. No more than 1.0 PHYS lab unit can count toward this Minor.
