A Chemistry Minor is available to students in any academic plan, except for plans offered entirely by, or jointly with, the Department of Chemistry.
Successful completion of the Chemistry Minor requires:
- 5.0 units distributed as follows:
- A minimum cumulative average of 60% for all lecture courses.
- A minimum cumulative average of 60% for all lab courses.
Additional requirements:
- A maximum of two failures in CHEM courses is allowed.
- The courses counted towards the 3.0 CHEM lecture units requirement must span a minimum of three theme areas. For 200-level or higher CHEM courses, the middle digit in the course number designates the theme area:
