Plans for Students outside the Mathematics Faculty

Joint Honours Academic Plans with Mathematics

The Joint Honours Mathematics academic plan is only open to non-math students enrolled in an Honours program. To be admitted to Joint Honours Mathematics a student must have, at most, 3.0 units of failed courses and must have completed the following requirements:

Maximum Failure Requirement

The maximum number of failures allowed for a Joint Honours Mathematics academic plan is 3.0 units.

Graduation Average Requirement

To graduate from the Joint Honours Mathematics academic plan, a student requires a minimum cumulative major average (MAV) of 60% over all math courses and a minimum cumulative overall average (CAV) of 60%.

Notes

  1. Some math courses listed above require a minimum grade in the prerequisite above 50%. Course prerequisites can be found in the Calendar under Course Descriptions and Course Notes.
  2. The Joint Honours Mathematics academic plan cannot be combined with Mathematical Economics offered in the Faculty of Arts, Mathematical Physics offered in the Faculty of Science, or a Joint Bachelor of Computer Science.
