Accelerated Master's Program
|
Content Added
|
The goal of Accelerated Master’s programs is to provide exceptional School of Public Health and Health Systems' (SPHHS) students a seamless transition into a master’s degree, with a potential to accelerate receipt of the graduate degree.
An Accelerated Master's program is one in which it is deemed academically advantageous to treat the educational process leading through either the Bachelor of Science (BSc) Honours Health Studies or the Bachelor of Public Health (BPH) programs to scientific and practice-based master’s degrees (i.e., Master of Science (MSc), Master of Public Health (MPH), Master of Health Informatics (MHI), or Master of Health Evaluation (MHE)) as a single continuous integrated whole, while at the same time satisfying the requirements for both degrees.

Milestones
- Students receive $1,000,000 CAD in a virtual brokerage account and they use this cash during their study to manage a portfolio which includes stocks, bonds, options, futures, currencies, and other securities from over 55 exchanges in over 30 countries. Students will be required to trade various securities, engage in various trading strategies and portfolio allocation strategies. Each milestone comes with explicit deliverables that students must submit electronically and meet to receive credit. The first milestone cannot be completed before eight months from the date of their first trade has elapsed. The last milestone must be completed in the student’s final 4B term, not less than two months prior to the end of the term. No milestone can be submitted within six months of the most recent milestone submission date.

(Page removed) Italian Studies at St. Jerome's University (SJU), in conjunction with the Corso di Laurea in Lettere of the University of Calabria (Unical), offers term or full-year studies at the Italian university, under the auspices of the tripartite exchange agreement between SJU, University of Waterloo, and Unical. Students in various disciplines may apply, provided they have an adequate knowledge of Italian (normally ITAL 201, ITAL 202, or equivalent). Students enrolled in the Italian Studies Minor academic plan may transfer some or all units taken at Unical's above-mentioned program of studies towards the fulfilment of their plan at Waterloo, subject to the University of Waterloo's Residency Requirement and the Faculty of Arts' transfer credit policies. Enquiries should be forwarded to the chair of Italian and French Studies, St. Jerome's University.
