Arts Academic Plans

Two certificates of participation/completion are offered: Spanish Language I and Spanish Language II. Students must successfully complete 2.5 academic course units (five courses) with a cumulative minimum average of 70% as follows:

Spanish Language I

• SPAN 101, SPAN 102, SPAN 201A, SPAN 201B
• one of SPAN 150, SPAN 217, SPAN 218

Spanish Language II

• SPAN 201A, SPAN 201B, SPAN 228, SPAN 301A, SPAN 301B

Notes

1. Students who have completed these courses may apply in writing to the Director of Special Programs of the Department of Spanish and Latin American Studies for the appropriate certificate. Certificates of participation/completion are issued by the department and do not appear on the undergraduate transcript or diploma.
2. Certificates I and II are mutually exclusive. Only one certificate can be granted.
