In order to graduate with the Pre-Health Professions Option, the following requirements must be met:
- Successful completion of 20.0 units, including all requirements of the Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology.
- Cumulative overall and major averages of 80% are required to complete the option (graduating Dean's Honours List).
The honours kinesiology program is well suited to prepare students for future study in a wide variety of health professions. The kinesiology core includes courses that encompass the following four domains deemed crucial for success in post degree study in the health professions. While some core courses may fall easily into these domains, KIN 101, KIN 104, and KIN 470 are integrative courses that encompass at least three of these domains of study.
By definition, many of our kinesiology course offerings contain elements that blend life sciences, physical sciences, and/or social sciences, and have been listed only once in the domain that is most representative.
