Open to all students majoring in Social Development Studies at the University of Waterloo, the Social Work Specialization requires successful completion of a minimum of the following 3.5 academic course units (seven courses):
Notes:
- Students are strongly encouraged to take courses at the level that corresponds to their year in Arts (i.e., 2A/B students take 200-level courses).
- Other courses may be considered as approved upon written request to, and written confirmation from, the Social Development Studies Chair.
- For students completing the honours degree in Social Development Studies, this specialization may be combined with any one of the three honours specializations available.
