Deferred Admission |

Students who have received an Offer of Admission to the University of Waterloo but who wish to begin their studies in a later term must submit a written request for a deferral of admission. The request must be submitted no later than one month prior to the start of the term to which the student was initially admitted and must state the reasons for requesting the deferral, which may not exceed three academic terms. Such students must confirm their Offer of Admission for the term to which they were initially admitted by the deadline stated on the offer. Reapplication for the subsequent term through the Ontario Universities' Application Centre (OUAC) is not required when a deferral is granted.
