Speech Communication

Four-Year General Speech Communication

Continuation in this academic plan requires a cumulative overall average of 60% and a cumulative Speech Communication average of 70%.

Eligibility for graduation in the Four-Year General Speech Communication academic plan includes fulfilment of the following requirements:

  1. Appropriate BA Program-level requirements. See "Bachelor of Arts."
  2. Speech Communication Plan-level requirements:

  1. Students must declare their two areas of concentration with the department undergraduate advisor at the end of their 1B term.
  2. Students in Speech Communication Major academic plans who are pursuing Minors or Options in other disciplines normally may double count no more than two courses from their Speech Communication Major towards their Minor or Option. Please consult with the academic advisors of both departments for further details.
  3. Consultation with the department undergraduate advisor is highly recommended to ensure that students can fulfil all the academic plan requirements during the terms that they are on campus.
