The Honours Therapeutic
Recreation plan is offered through both the regular and co-operative systems of study. Successful completion of 20.0 units is necessary to obtain the Bachelor of Arts, Honours Therapeutic Recreation degree.

Recreation courses (minimum of 10.5 units):
- Required courses (8.5 units): REC 100, REC 101, REC 120, REC 151, REC 201, REC 251, REC 252, REC 253, REC 351, REC 357, REC 371, REC 373, REC 405, REC 420, REC 450 (1.0), REC 455
- Recreation elective courses (2.0 units):
- Note that MU353, Inclusive Arts for Children (1.0 unit) (see Laurier Calendar), is accepted as a University of Waterloo recreation elective.

Courses outside the Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies (maximum of 9.5 units):
- Minimum cumulative major average required is 70%; minimum cumulative overall average required is 65%.
Note
Students are permitted to pursue a double major in Honours Recreation and Sport Business and Honours Therapeutic Recreation, by meeting the requirements of each plan.
