Students enrolled in any degree program may pursue a minor designation in Spanish.
The Spanish Minor requires successful completion of a minimum of four academic course units (eight courses) in Spanish (see Note 1) with a minimum cumulative minor average of 65%.
Notes
- Many Spanish (SPAN) courses are taught in English and require no knowledge of Spanish; these courses are so identified by their course descriptions.
- Consult the undergraduate officer in Spanish and Latin American Studies for the Spanish Minor.
- By agreement, students at the University of Waterloo and Wilfrid Laurier University are allowed to take courses in Spanish at either university.
- With the permission of the Department of Spanish and Latin American Studies, students may study at a university in Spain or Latin America.
