Spanish Minor

Students enrolled in any degree program may pursue a minor designation in Spanish.

The Spanish Minor requires successful completion of a minimum of four academic course units (eight courses) in Spanish (see Note 1) with a minimum cumulative minor average of 65%.

Notes

  1. Many Spanish (SPAN) courses are taught in English and require no knowledge of Spanish; these courses are so identified by their course descriptions.
  2. Consult the undergraduate officer in Spanish and Latin American Studies for the Spanish Minor.
  3. By agreement, students at the University of Waterloo and Wilfrid Laurier University are allowed to take courses in Spanish at either university.
  4. With the permission of the Department of Spanish and Latin American Studies, students may study at a university in Spain or Latin America.
