The David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science at the University of Waterloo and the School of Business and Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University offer the following plan which leads to a BBA, Honours degree from Laurier and a BCS, Honours degree from Waterloo.

Bachelor of Computing and Financial Management

The Bachelor of Computing and Financial Management (BCFM) Steering Committee administers this honours program, which leads to the Bachelor of Computing and Financial Management (BCFM) degree. The committee consists of faculty from the David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science in the Faculty of Mathematics and the School of Accounting and Finance in the Faculty of Arts.

Bachelor of Software Engineering

The Software Engineering Program Board administers this honours program, which leads to the Bachelor of Software Engineering (BSE) degree. The board consists of faculty from the David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science in the Faculty of Mathematics and from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering.

Computer Science Plans

Computer Science (CS) major plans are:

  • All BCS plans
  • Computer Science BMath plans
  • Any Joint Computer Science plan
  • Computing and Financial Management and Software Engineering are considered CS major plans for the purpose of student access to CS courses, but admission and continuation are handled separately.
