Notes
- Any student pursuing a joint honours degree with the Faculty of Arts should be advised that the Arts Faculty restricts the combination of specific academic programs or plans. Students should refer to the Restrictions on Multiple-Plan Combinations in the Arts Academic Regulations and Advice section of this Calendar. Students should confirm any plan combination with their academic advisor.
- When the Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies is not the home department, a student wishing to pursue a joint honours degree with Honours Recreation and Leisure Studies, must complete the honours requirements with the exception of the four restricted elective courses (2.0 units). In some joint honours plans, REC 371 and REC 373 may be fulfilled by the antirequisites in the home department. Two additional recreation electives (1.0 unit) are therefore required to meet the minimum of 9.0 recreation units.
- Students wishing to pursue a joint honours degree in Honours Recreation and Sport Business or Honours Therapeutic Recreation must complete the honours requirements in addition to points 3-6 of the joint honours degree requirements listed above.
Further information regarding joint honours degrees may be obtained from an academic advisor and the Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies, Undergraduate Student Handbook. If a student wishes to pursue a joint honours degree with another department not listed above, they should contact the associate chair, undergraduate studies.
