Admission

Transfer Credits

Normally, students transferring from another university may be granted credit for relevant courses in which they have received a grade of 60.0% or better.

One term of advanced work experience standing may be granted to students transferring into the co-operative system of study in the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences. Details are available from Co-operative Education.

Regardless of the number of courses that are presented for transfer, students admitted from another post-secondary institution will be required to complete a minimum of 50% of their course work while registered in the new academic plan within the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences. Students admitted from another academic plan within the University of Waterloo may be granted transfer credit for all acceptable courses and milestones completed at Waterloo at the discretion of the admissions committee in their respective school or department. Either:

  • all courses, both passed and failed, taken in other faculties at Waterloo are transferred and are used in the calculation of cumulative overall and major averages; or
  • only courses in which a grade of 50.0% or better has been achieved will be transferred. These courses will not be used in the calculation of cumulative overall and major averages.

Students should be aware that, regardless of the number of transfer credits that are granted, all requirements of their proposed Applied Health Sciences' academic plan must be met in order to graduate with that degree.
