The University of Waterloo has student exchange agreements with institutions world-wide. Students in the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences are encouraged to participate in an international exchange opportunity. Courses taken while on exchange may be credited towards a University of Waterloo degree.
Students who participate in an international exchange have the opportunity:
- to learn about a different culture by experiencing it firsthand;
- to develop valuable skills, such as independence, flexibility, and confidence;
- to develop an international network of friends and contacts; and
- to expand their worldview by studying courses within a different culture.
Normally students will attend the host university for one academic term. Students are advised to choose a term where they will be taking mostly electives. Consequently, students should take into account when degree-required courses are offered when planning their exchange.
Detailed information is available through Waterloo International.
