About the Faculty of Environment

Degrees

The Faculty of Environment offers both Undergraduate and Graduate degrees. The Undergraduate degrees are Bachelor of Environmental Studies (BES) and Bachelor of Knowledge Integration (BKI). The Graduate degrees offered by the Faculty of Environment are Master of Arts (MA), Master of Applied Environmental Studies (MAES), Master of Climate Change (MCC), Master of Development Practice (MDP), Master of Environment and Business (MEB), Master of Environmental Studies (MES), Master of Science (MSc), and Doctoral (PhD).

Undergraduate degrees may be obtained in the following areas: 

Bachelor of Environmental Studies (BES)

Honours Environment and Business (4 years)
Honours Co-operative Environment and Business (4-2/3 years with rotating work/study terms)
Honours Environment and Resource Studies (4 years)
Honours Co-operative Environment and Resource Studies (4-2/3 years with rotating work/study terms)
Honours Geography and Aviation (4 years) 
Honours Geography and Environmental Management (4 years)
Honours Co-operative Geography and Environmental Management (4-2/3 years with rotating work/study terms)
General Geography and Environmental Management (3 years)
Honours Geomatics (4 years)
Honours Co-operative Geomatics (4-2/3 years with rotating work/study terms)
Honours International Development (4 years)
Honours Co-operative Planning (4-2/3 years with rotating work/study terms)

Bachelor of Knowledge Integration (BKI)

Honours Knowledge Integration (4 years)

Note: Applicants should apply to the unit most suited to her/his interests. Transfer to other Faculties will be considered after Year One, depending upon the student's academic record and plan. Ease of transfer between the units within the Faculty of Environment varies.
