A minor is a group of approved courses taken by an honours or general student in a subject area outside of recreation and leisure studies. Minors are available in most departments at the University of Waterloo. Students interested in pursuing a minor should consult with the department offering the minor. A minor normally consists of 4.0-5.0 units. A minor in recreation and leisure studies is not available to students in other programs. However, a joint honours degree may be available (see section Joint Honours Degrees).
Note:
- Any student pursuing a minor with the Faculty of Arts should be advised that they restrict the number of double counted courses between arts requirements and recreation and leisure studies requirements to a maximum of 2.5 units.
