Social Development Studies Minor |

Students enrolled in any Honours or Four-Year General Major academic plan may pursue a minor designation in Social Development Studies.
A Social Development Studies Minor requires successful completion of a minimum of five academic course units (ten courses) in Social Development Studies with a minimum cumulative average of 65%, including:
- ISS 131R, 150R
- SOCWK 120R
- 3.5 units (seven courses) at the 200-level or above, including at least one unit (two courses) in each of two different subject areas listed below:
- Interdisciplinary Social Science: ISS 131R, 150R, 205R, 215R, 220R, 240R, 250R, 251R, 311R, 312R, 350D, 350E, 350G, 350H, 351R, 370R, 375R, 398R, 399R, 400R, 415R, 420R, 425R, 450R, 490R, 495R, 496R, 499A/B
- Psychology: PSYCH 121R, 212R, 213R, 220R, 221R, 222R, 312R, 322R, 323R, 334, 375R, 398R, 399R, 450R, 490R
- Social Work: SOCWK 120R, 220R, 221R, 222R, 240R, 300R, 301R, 320R, 321R, 322R, 326R, 355R, 356R, 357R, 365R, 367R, 375R, 390A/B, 398R, 399R, 421R, 450R, 490R
- Sociology: SOC 120R, 204, 207, 223, 224R, 375R, 398R, 399R, 450R, 490R
- Note: Of the five units (ten courses) required for the Minor, no more than three units (six courses) may be taken in any one subject area.
Notes:
- Course selection should only be made after consultation with your Renison academic advisor.
- For students in minor academic plans who do not have at least one course in statistics and one course in research, and especially those considering graduate studies in Social Work, ISS 250R and ISS 251R are strongly recommended.
