The Italian Studies program, based at St. Jerome's University on the Waterloo campus, is specifically tailored to offer a unique opportunity to learn the language of art, music, and la dolce vita while studying one of the truly seminal cultures and literatures of the western world either in the original Italian or in English.
The Three-Year General Italian Studies major provides a full array of courses, including Italian language, but for the most part is taught in English. It offers students a thorough and unhindered access to a culture and a literature, which are in many respects the foundation of western letters and thought.
You will also have the opportunity to study at the University of Calabria (Unical) immersing yourself in Italian language and culture for up to one year. Normally exchanges take place in your third year.
