Plans and Course Selection

Course and Academic Plan Changes
  1. Students may add or drop courses during the first two weeks of the Fall, Winter, and Spring terms.
  2. Courses may be dropped, without penalty, up to three weeks from the beginning of term.
  3. The "drop penalty 1" period commences at the beginning of week four and ends at the end of week eight. Penalty 1 is the automatic assignment of grade, WD – Withdrew and includes no academic penalty.
  4. The "drop penalty 2" period commences at the beginning of week nine and continues to the end of the term. Penalty 2 is the automatic assignment of a new grade, WF – Withdrew/Failure which equates to 32%.
  5. As always, students can petition for relief from the consequences of a late drop or withdrawal, through the Associate Dean of Science for Undergraduate Studies.
