- Students may add or drop courses during the first two weeks of the Fall, Winter, and Spring terms.
- Courses may be dropped, without penalty, up to three weeks from the beginning of term.
- The "drop penalty 1" period commences at the beginning of week four and ends at the end of week eight. Penalty 1 is the automatic assignment of grade, WD – Withdrew and includes no academic penalty.
- The "drop penalty 2" period commences at the beginning of week nine and continues to the end of the term. Penalty 2 is the automatic assignment of a new grade, WF – Withdrew/Failure which equates to 32%.
- As always, students can petition for relief from the consequences of a late drop or withdrawal, through the Associate Dean of Science for Undergraduate Studies.
