Arts Academic Plans

This Diploma is designed for non- or post-degree students who wish to explore issues of second or foreign language teaching and acquisition. The Applied Language Studies Diploma requires the successful completion of the following:

• At least five academic course units (ten courses) in APPLS Core, Approved Language, and Approved Applied Language Studies courses with a minimum cumulative average of 65%, including:
  • three APPLS Core Courses
  • four Approved Language Courses (all in one language that is not the student's first language, or two in each of two languages that are not the student's first language)
  • three Approved Applied Language Studies Courses

Note: No more than two courses may be double counted between Applied Language Studies and any other academic plans or subplans.
