Honours Options

An Option is a specified combination or grouping of courses which provides the student with an emphasis in a particular discipline.

The Recreation and Leisure Studies Department has available the following Options to students in Honours plans:

  1. Parks Option
  2. Tourism Option

Students interested in pursuing an option should speak with the Undergraduate Advisor by the beginning of second year.

Parks Option

    1. Only the second completed course of REC 433/ENVS 433 or ENVS 444/REC 437 may be counted as a Parks Option Elective.
    2. Students interested in working for the Canadian Federal Government are encouraged to take French language courses.
