Joint Honours degrees are available with
Recreation and Business and Speech Communication; and Therapeutic
Recreation and Psychology. Joint Honours BA Recreation and Leisure
Studies degrees are available with Drama, English, Environment and
Resource Studies, Geography, History, Legal Studies, Music, Political
Science, Psychology, Social Development Studies, Sociology, and Speech
Communication. For Joint Honours degrees, where the Department of
Recreation and Leisure Studies is the home department, the requirements
will be
- Recreation and Leisure Studies core requirements (4 units): REC 100, 101, 205, 220, 270, 371, REC 471A/B or two 400 level REC courses.
- All non-department required courses (3.5 units): CS 100 (currently under review), PSYCH 101, SOC 101, and four Restricted Electives.
- Joint Honours requirements from the second department.
- Additional Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies Electives (minimum 5 units).
- A minimum of 9 Recreation units in total.
- A minimum of 20 units in total.
- Major average requirements for each department must be maintained. (The overall average is that of the home department.)
