The Honours Kinesiology degree is offered through the regular and co-operative systems of study. Successful completion of 21.0 units is necessary in order to obtain the Bachelor of Science, Honours Kinesiology degree.
- Required Kinesiology courses (8.0 units): KIN 100, KIN 100L (0.25), KIN 104, KIN 104L (0.25), KIN 121, KIN 121L (0.25), KIN 146, KIN 202, KIN 202L (0.25), KIN 204 (1.0), KIN 204L (0.5), KIN 217, KIN 221, KIN 221L (0.25), KIN 232, KIN 255, KIN 255L (0.25); KIN 432 or KIN 470
- Required Faculty of Health course (0.5 unit): HEALTH 107
- Required courses from other departments (3.0 units): BIOL 130, BIOL 273, CHEM 120, PHYS 111, PSYCH 101/PSYCH 101R; MATH 124 or MATH 127
- Kinesiology elective courses: 3.5 units of additional Kinesiology courses.
- Free elective courses: 6.0 units.
- Minimum cumulative major average required is 67%; minimum cumulative overall average required is 63%.
Notes
- Students are encouraged to make full use of the advisory system in the Department of Kinesiology and Health Sciences in formulating their academic plans.
- As part of their kinesiology elective package, those students who wish to do so may specialize in one of the minors or specialization designated by the Department.

Joint Honours
Honours Kinesiology students are eligible to pursue a joint honours degree with another academic area of study. Application for joint honours must be approved by the associate chair, undergraduate studies, of both academic units; course selection, year-end standing, and graduation must also be approved. Students interested in pursuing a joint honours degree should consult with the academic advisor for further information and should begin to take the appropriate courses no later than the beginning of Year Two.
