Ergonomists are concerned with the assessment and prescription of solutions to problems in the workplace that involve issues such as human-machine interaction, matching skill level with job demands, employee wellness, circadian rhythm, workplace boredom, fatigue, and design of equipment in the interests of maximizing productivity and minimizing the risk of injury.
Students enrolled in any degree program may pursue a minor designation in Ergonomics and Injury Prevention Minor.
Requirements
Successful completion of 5.0 units with a minimum cumulative minor average of 60%, from the requirements listed:

Notes
- Courses obtained on a Letter of Permission or in transfer credit must be equivalent to courses listed in the course requirements.
- KIN 431, KIN 432, KIN 433, and KIN 472 must be an ergonomics and injury prevention topic and approved in advance by the course supervisor and associate chair, undergraduate studies.
- Elective courses can only count towards List A or B, but not both.
