The Urban Studies Minor is open to all University of Waterloo undergraduate degree students. The Urban Studies Minor is structured into four theme areas: Urban Economics/Finance, Urban Activity and the Environment, Urban Societies, and Emerging Global Urban Regions.
The Urban Studies Minor requires a minimum cumulative minor average of 65%.
Successful completion requires:
- Ten courses distributed as follows:
- ECON 101
- PLAN 100
- PLAN 233
- INDEV 262/PLAN 262
- One of:
- One of the following theme requirements:
- Theme 1: Urban Economics/Finance
- Theme 2: Urban Activity and the Environment
- Theme 3: Urban Societies
- Theme 4: Emerging Global Urban Regions
