Co-operative Education Certificates

While pursuing a co-operative degree designation, some students choose to pursue work-term experiences that allow them to develop a deeper exposure to certain skill sets or industries. Co-operative education certificates are offered through Co-operative and Experiential Education (CEE) to formally recognize these specialized experiences.

To be eligible to receive a co-operative education certificate, students must meet all of their program's requirements for a co-operative degree designation and complete all the specified requirements listed for the certificate. Note, an individual work term may not be counted toward more than one co-operative certificate.

Certificate in Co-operative Education Research

Students will be eligible to receive a Certificate in Co-operative Education Research if they complete the following requirements:

  1. Receive credit for at least three research work-term experiences approved by CEE.
  2. Receive credit for PD 13: Research in the Workplace, which can also count toward the PD requirements for the co-operative degree designation.
  3. Complete the Co-operative Education Research Certificate Capstone. Completion of the Capstone includes successful articulation of researcher skills during a panel interview and networking event, organized by CEE specifically for Capstone participants. The Capstone is only open to students who have completed the above requirements.
