Visual Culture

Three-Year General Visual Culture

Continuation in this academic plan requires a minimum cumulative overall average of 60% and a minimum cumulative Visual Culture major average of 65%.

Eligibility for graduation in the Three-Year General Visual Culture academic plan includes successful completion of the following requirements:

  1. Appropriate program-level requirements. See Bachelor of Arts Degree Requirements.

Notes

  1. No one course may fulfil more than one requirement within any Visual Culture academic plan.
  2. Visual Culture covers three topics – art and art history, film, media – and the elective courses have been grouped accordingly. Students can select from across all three groups of courses to gain broad exposure to different facets of visual culture, or they can concentrate on just one or two groups of courses to get more focused exposure.
  3. Consult the Visual Culture co-ordinator in Fine Arts before enrolling in FR 486, ARCH, DAC, and INTEG courses.
