Students who will be completing the Ontario secondary school (OSS) curriculum must present the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), including a minimum of six Grade 12 U (university level) and/or M (university/college level) courses. These courses must include all required courses, as specified for each program. Required courses must be at the Grade 12 U level unless otherwise specified.
An overall average of 80% on the best six Grade 12 U and/or M courses, including the required courses, is normally the minimum requirement for admission consideration. Higher averages are required for admission to programs for which the number of qualified applicants exceeds the number of places available. The actual minimum averages required for these programs are determined each year on the basis of the number of applicants, their qualifications, and the number of available spaces.
In some programs, applicants may be considered for early conditional admission based on their Grade 11 academic record, their Grade 12 record to date, and other factors.
