Continuation in this academic plan requires a minimum cumulative overall average of 60% and a minimum cumulative Music major average of 65%.

  1. Appropriate program-level requirements. See Bachelor of Arts Degree Requirements.
  2. Music plan-level requirements:

Notes

  1. Students electing to take Music studio must arrange for an audition before the Music faculty. Normally, a level of performance equal to Grade Eight standing at the Royal Conservatory of Music of Toronto is expected for admission to Music studio.
  2. Most music courses are open to students from all faculties on campus. Students intending to major in music will normally be admitted at the beginning of second year, based on overall academic performance in first year, which should include several music courses. It is normally a good idea to include Music studio courses in first year. However, acceptance into studio courses does not itself constitute admission to a Music academic plan.
