The Biophysics Minor is designed for students in biology or physics majors but can be taken by students in other plans, both within and outside the Faculty of Science.
Successful completion of the Biophysics Minor requires:
- 5.0 units distributed as follows:
- 1.5 BIOL units: BIOL 130, BIOL 239, BIOL 308
- 1.5 PHYS units: PHYS 121, PHYS 121L, PHYS 122, PHYS 122L
- 1.5 PHYS units chosen from: PHYS 280, PHYS 380, PHYS 383, PHYS 395, PHYS 396, PHYS 491
- 0.5 unit chosen from: (PHYS 224 and PHYS 224L), PHYS 225, PHYS 233, PHYS 234, (PHYS 242 and PHYS 242L), (PHYS 256 and PHYS 256L), PHYS 263, PHYS 358, PHYS 359, STAT 202
- A minimum cumulative average of 60% in all PHYS and BIOL courses.
Notes

At least 1.5 PHYS or BIOL lecture units must be 300-level or higher.
- PHYS 111 and PHYS 111L may be substituted for PHYS 121 and PHYS 121L.
- PHYS 112 and PHYS 112L may be substituted for PHYS 122 and PHYS 122L.
- A Biophysics Minor will not be awarded with a Biology or Physics Minor.
- A Biophysics Minor will not be awarded to students in Honours Life Physics.
