Career Hub
CareerHub is a 24/7 accessible online environment full of information to support clients through all stages of the career development process. Interactive modules contain information and activities on the following topics: skill identification and articulation, career exploration and decision-making, applying and interviewing for employment, searching for work, finding success at work, and applying and interviewing for professional or graduate school programs.
Career Support
Appointments, workshops/webinars, conferences, events and resources on a variety of career- and work-related topics are available to all students, including résumés, cover letters, career planning, job search strategies, mock interviews, and graduate/professional school planning, applications and interviews.
- Register for booked appointments and workshops/webinars through WaterlooWorks. Appointments are continually added as spots become available; be sure to check back regularly.
- Drop-in appointments are available to all undergraduate and graduate students. Drop-ins provide students with the opportunity to meet with a career advisor or career leader (peer) for a 15-minute express session to ask quick questions about résumés, cover letters, interviewing, work search, or pursuing further education. Co-op Support
Co-op consults are available for students who are preparing for their first work term and have questions about how to navigate the co-op process and find a job.
Co-op consults are available on a drop-in basis, daily from Monday-Friday. For students who are preparing for subsequent co-op work terms, student advisors are available to answer questions and offer support.
Workshops and Events
Face-to-face workshops cover topics such as career decision making, job search, interviewing, negotiating job offers, business etiquette, thinking about an international experience, and working in a different culture. Also running periodically throughout the year are employer and alumni speaker panels on labour market-themed topics and recruitment trends.
