The University of Waterloo's admission requirements are expressed in terms of the Ontario secondary school (OSS) courses. All programs at the University have prerequisites or subjects that are required for admission. Applicants from educational systems outside Ontario must present the equivalents of these prerequisites at the highest secondary school level possible to be considered for admission.
All international credentials presented by an applicant are subject to review by the admissions committee for the faculty to which they have applied. In some cases, details on curriculum content and depth of study may be requested by the admissions committee to review equivalence to the Ontario system and additional Advanced Placement (AP) or university-level credits may be required.
