English Language and Literature

Specializations in English

The following specializations are open to all students majoring in any English academic plan. Admission to any specialization is by consent of the Department of English Language and Literature upon completion of the first year of studies.

Communication Design Specialization

The Communication Design Specialization requires successful completion of four courses:

Creative Writing Specialization

The Creative Writing Specialization requires successful completion of four courses:

Note

ENGL 332 is a repeatable course. Individual instructors choose the topic or genre of creative writing on which the course will focus. Students may take the course for credit a maximum of twice, provided that the topics in the two iterations of the course are distinct from each other.

Digital Media Studies Specialization

The Digital Media Studies Specialization requires successful completion of four courses:

The Digital Media Studies Specialization is not available to students currently enrolled in or who have graduated from the Digital Arts Communication Minor or Digital Arts Communication Specialization.

Global Literatures Specialization
