Geochemistry

Honours Co-operative Geochemistry

Advisors: See Faculty of Science, academic advisors.

This program offers Earth and Chemistry courses integrated with five four-month work terms, and extends over four and two-thirds years. Students work and study in alternate terms starting at the end of the 2A term. There is a double work term between terms 3B and 4A.

Continuing in Honours Co-operative Geochemistry requires a 60% cumulative overall average and a 60% cumulative average in all Chemistry and Earth Sciences courses combined.

Successful completion of this program requires:

  1. 21.25 total units that include:
  2. Co-operative program requirements that include:

Notes

  1. Students may have co-supervisors from the Chemistry Department for the EARTH 436A (Thesis Proposal) and EARTH 436B (Honours Thesis).
  2. The Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario (APGO) requires specific university credits to be considered for accreditation. Students should refer to the APGO website to guide their course elective choices.
