Arts Academic Plans

Continuation in this academic plan requires a cumulative minimum overall average of 60% and a cumulative minimum Philosophy major average of 65%.

Eligibility for graduation in the Three-Year General Philosophy academic plan includes successful completion of the following requirements:

1. Appropriate program-level requirements. See Bachelor of Arts Degree Requirements.
2. Philosophy plan-level requirements:
   • a minimum Philosophy major average of 65%
   • at least six academic course units (12 courses) in Philosophy, including:
     • PHIL 221, PHIL 240, PHIL 251
       • St. Jerome's students may take PHIL 218J instead of PHIL 221
     • PHIL 283/CLAS 261 or PHIL 284
     • three PHIL courses at the 300- or 400-level

Note

Students may use no more than three PHIL courses at the 100-level to fulfil the Philosophy plan requirements.
