Arts Academic Plans

Continuation in this academic plan requires a cumulative minimum overall average of 60% and a cumulative minimum Speech Communication major average of 65%.

Eligibility for graduation in the Four-Year General Speech Communication academic plan includes successful completion of the following requirements:

1. Appropriate program-level requirements. See Bachelor of Arts Degree Requirements.
2. Speech Communication plan-level requirements:
   • a minimum Speech Communication major average of 65%
   • at least eight academic course units (16 courses) in SPCOM or DAC courses, including:
     • SPCOM 100, SPCOM 101, SPCOM 220/THPERF 220, SPCOM 223, SPCOM 226, SPCOM 228, SPCOM 399
     • nine additional SPCOM or DAC courses, three of which must be at the 400-level
