All students taking courses offered by the Faculty of Engineering must have appropriate instruction on issues of safety. The Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) instruction satisfies this requirement.
WHMIS training is offered for students as part of their instruction in their 1A term in Engineering (BASc and BSE), and to all incoming 1A Architecture (BAS) students. This requirement must be satisfied by BAS students by the end of the first month of the 1A term, or the student's enrolment in Architecture courses will be cancelled.
