- Education - Canadian university and college calendars, subject and geographic-specific directories, professional test applications
- Work search - employer directories, work/study abroad programs and guides, résumé, job application and interview process, interview success, and entrepreneurship
Career Development eManual
The Career Development eManual is an award-winning step-by-step guide to the career development process. Interactive modules (e.g., résumé/letter writing, interview skills, work search, success on the job) include activities that will help students to apply relevant concepts. In order to participate effectively in workshops and appointments, the completion of online modules (where applicable) is an important first step.
Workshops
- Face-to-face workshops cover topics such as: career decision making, job search, interviewing, negotiating job offers, Curriculum Vitae (CV) writing, business etiquette, thinking about an international experience, and working in a different culture.
- Register for workshops through the Centre for Career Action website.
Appointments/Drop-ins
- Appointment types include résumé/letter/CV critiques, career exploration and decision making, job search, mock interviews, CV or graduate/professional school applications, and co-op process.
- Drop-ins: all students (regular and co-op) can drop in to meet with a career advisor for 15 minutes to ask quick questions about résumés, letters, CVs, job searching, interviewing, or further education. Co-op students can also access co-op process drop-ins.
