Continuation in this academic plan requires a cumulative minimum overall average of 60% and a cumulative minimum Sociology major average of 65%.
Eligibility for graduation in the Four-Year General Sociology academic plan includes successful completion of the following requirements:
- Appropriate Program-level requirements. See Bachelor of Arts Degree Requirements.
- Sociology Plan-level requirements:
- a minimum Sociology major average of 65%
- at least eight academic course units (16 courses) in Sociology, including:
- SOC 101/SOC 101R, SOC 202, SOC 221/LS 221, SOC 280/LS 280, SOC 302, SOC 322/LS 322
- one of SOC 401, SOC 404, SOC 405, SOC 406, SOC 407, SOC 408, SOC 418
- three additional SOC courses at the 200-level
- three additional SOC courses at the 300-level
- three additional SOC courses at the 400-level; or SOC 499A, SOC 499B, and one additional SOC course at the 400-level

At least four academic course units (eight courses) taken to fulfil the requirements of this academic plan must be unique to the plan.
