Science and Business

Honours Co-operative Science and Business/Earth Sciences

Continuing in the Science and Business, Earth Sciences Specialization program requires a cumulative overall average of 65% and a cumulative Science average of 65%.

Successful completion of this program requires:

  1. A maximum of 2.0 failed units is permitted.
  2. Normally, a maximum of 3.0 SCBUS units is permitted.
  3. Co-op program requirements are located in the Co-operative Education and Career Action (CECA) section of this Calendar and in the Science Faculty work-term report guidelines.

Notes

  1. Alternative program electives may be substituted with permission from the program advisor.
  2. HRM 200 and MSCI 311 are recommended program electives.
  3. EARTH electives can include EARTH 436A and EARTH 436B, Honours Thesis courses, with permission from the program advisor and consent from the Faculty.
  4. Year Four EARTH electives allow students to focus their studies in areas of Geology, Geophysics, or Hydrogeology. Students should refer to course requirements for these specializations within Earth and Environmental Sciences programs to guide their elective choices.
  5. Students interested in selecting courses to fulfil the knowledge based requirements for membership in the Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario (APGO) may need to substitute certain required courses. Substitution can only be done with approval from the program advisor.
  6. Students can choose to emphasize one of the following Business areas by selecting or substituting appropriate program electives into their program. Students should note that this may require an additional term(s) of study:
