At least 50% of the University of Waterloo total degree requirements must be taken while registered as a student at the University of Waterloo. A graduate who is readmitted to pursue an additional degree must complete at least 50% of the requirements for the additional degree at the University of Waterloo.
Note: Degrees offered jointly with another academic institution (e.g., 2+2 agreements) are not subject to the residency policy.
