Economics

Honours Mathematical Economics

Continuation in this academic plan requires a cumulative average of 60%, a cumulative Economics average of 75%, and a cumulative Mathematics average of 60%. Both regular and co-operative versions of this plan are available.

Eligibility for graduation in the Honours Mathematical Economics academic plan includes successful fulfilment of the following requirements:

  1. Appropriate Program-level requirements. See Bachelor of Arts Degree Requirements.
  2. Economics Plan-level requirements:
    • at least seven academic course units (14 courses) in Economics with a minimum cumulative average of 75%, including:
    • at least 6.5 course units (13 courses) in Mathematics with a minimum cumulative average of 60%, including:

Notes:

  1. Students must achieve a cumulative average of at least 75% in the 14 economics courses counted towards the degree and a cumulative average of 60% in the 13 math courses counted towards the degree.
  2. For graduation and progression purposes, a student's averages will be calculated according to the practices of the faculty in which the student is formally registered. Should a student transfer from the Faculty of Mathematics to the Faculty of Arts (or vice versa), the student's average calculations may be revised to reflect the differing average calculation rules.
  3. Students in any Economics academic plan are not eligible to take the Environment and Economics Minor.
