Professionals regularly find themselves collaborating with experts from other areas, or addressing complex problems that span multiple disciplines and affect diverse stakeholders. The Knowledge Integration Minor is open to University of Waterloo undergraduate Honours students who wish to complement their major with the trans-disciplinary literacy and skills necessary to join - or lead - teams and guide projects that span diverse specialties.
The requirements for the Minor are 5.0 units (ten courses) with a minimum overall cumulative average of 65%.
Required Courses: Six Courses
INTEG 120, 121, 220, 221, 320, 321
Elective Courses: Four Courses
One non-INTEG course at the 200 level or above, from outside the student's home faculty
Three of: PHIL 145, SPCOM 223, INDEV 300, one course in statistics or research methods†, non-required INTEG-labelled courses‡
†Most undergraduate courses on Statistics or Research Methods required for the student's major plan will satisfy this requirement.
‡Up to three INTEG-labelled courses, other than those listed as Required Courses, may be used to satisfy this requirement.
