The table below illustrates the elements required to earn either a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) or a Bachelor of Software Engineering (BSE) degree for students entering in Fall 2012 and later. The elements shown are common for all students; the program specific courses are listed in other pages of this section of the calendar. The following definitions refer to the abbreviations in this table: Co-operative work term (COOP), Work-term Report (WKRPT), Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE), and Professional Development (PD).
Legend
1 The academic terms (labelled 1A, 1B, ...4B) are program specific and the core and elective courses for each program are listed elsewhere in the calendar.
2 The COOP 1-6 courses are credit/no credit courses as described elsewhere in the calendar. The cells with these entries correspond to work terms 1-6.
3 The PD 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 20 and 21 courses are credit/no credit courses described elsewhere in the calendar.
4 Work-term report course due date differs if program uses WKRPT 200, 300 and 400, or WKRPT 201, 301 and 401. Refer to program page for Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering work-term due dates.
