Students enrolled in any non- or post-degree academic plan may pursue the Diploma in Management Studies.
The Diploma in Management Studies requires successful completion of a minimum of four academic course units (eight courses) with a minimum cumulative average of 65%, including:

- Communication: one of ENGL 109, 210F; SPCOM 100, 223, 325
- one of AFM 131, 231; ECON 344; HRM 200; MSCI 211 or PSYCH 338; PACS 202; PHIL 145, 215, 216; PSYCH 339; SOC 340
Notes:
- The Diploma in Management Studies is not available to students currently enrolled in or who have graduated from university business programs, plans, or subplans, including Waterloo "X and Business" academic plans.
- Students should check for course prerequisites.
